My husband has made several birdhouses this spring and placed them throughout our yard. Some are in trees. Other houses are attached to poles. Almost all are now occupied. This afternoon my son and I heard several occupants in a nearby tree. Upon closer observation we spied four baby birds. They would appear every time my son whistled. This was quite a scene and it attracted several of our neighbors with a few running to get their cameras. How appropriate for the upcoming celebration.
